This is one of a pair of large slab-built vases (10 1/2" tall, with the pointy oval top measuring 7 1/2" long x 6" wide). The pair of vases were created out of three identical slabs of clay: two formed the basic shapes, the third was cut into a pattern used to create the negative Tiki shapes on this vase and the positive shapes on the other vase.
